Established in 1994, a biscuit company was founded through the vision of two friends. Humble beginnings in a small factory in Durbanville, led to the manufacturing and distribution of quality baked biscuits to retail and wholesale markets through out the Western Cape…

The beginning of Crunch n Munch

During 2002 a new company, Thembisa Trading was registered by one of the original founder members, CC Laros. This saw the re-branding of the original biscuits and the ‘Crunch n Munch’ brand was created.

Time-honoured recipes, quality ingredients, high production standards, a wonderful team of hard-working and loyal staff, a complete implemented Food Safety System and the supply of quality biscuits, has become synonymous with Crunch ‘n Munch Biscuits. While most manufacturers opt to commercialize their product, packaging, and labelling, Crunch ‘n Munch has stayed with the traditional quality and original appearance.

Our biscuits are distributed to three major retail groups and a wide range of independent retailers and wholesalers in the Western Cape. Our product is also distributed to the Northern and Eastern Cape and is exported to Namibia. Nationwide distribution is in the planning phase for 2022.

Where we are now…

Operating from Brackenfell since 2002, Thembisa Trading has moved to a new factory during September 2020. This was made necessary by the need for increased capacity and demand of our biscuits, as well as upgrade of production and food safety systems.

Our Mission:  for Crunch ‘n Munch to be a product which our customers can endlessly enjoy and a brand they can trust.
